DJ Underdog
Holiday Blog

What’s up everyone? Happy Holidays! I hope that you are all enjoying your holiday with you and yours.

The holidays wrap up another year, and even create some New Year’s resolutions. 2008 was a wild ride for DJ Underdog. I started my own business, switched jobs (again), got deeper in debt, and established a residency at my favorite Thursday night bar, Finn McCool’s. So, looking back I wanted to say thanks for everyone’s help, patience, and assistance.

2009 will present it’s own challenges, and some things are a little different, while others are more of the same. Finn McCool’s is still the hotspot on Thursdays. The gang down there has welcomed us to continue to be part of their extended family. Finn’s is located at 1501 East Carson Street in the South Side, and music runs from 10-2. My cousin, Tony G! (aka DJ Crush), will continue to hold it down on a rotating schedule on Thursdays. Tony and I always post reminder bulletins on MySpace and Facebook so check those for updates. Tony will be holding down most of the late January, early February dates so I can take some personal leave, but the rotating schedule will resume near Valentine’s Day.

On a sad note, that will be the only bar/club where you can find DJ Underdog to start the year. The Inn Termission Lounge (also in the South Side) wanted to take a break, not a break-up. I am always looking for new opportunities so if you hear anything feel free to hit me up.

Finally, I am not the most tech-savvy guy in the world but your boy is going Bobby Digital for 2009. I am going to give the mp3 world a chance, but keep my beloved cd collection close. I have been practicing quite a bit, and my OCD has me prepared with several backups just in case. And congrats to Tom Barnes, aka DJ Tooth from 5AE/Loose Moose fame. Tom got engaged recently, and I’m pumped for him and his wife to be. K-Dub is finally making an honest man outta TB. Can you believe, they also asked ME of all people to speak as the best man? Be prepared for the Tom and Kate celebrity roast!

As always, fell free to call, e-mail, or message me if I can be of assistance. My business number is also a cell, so feel free to do that as well (Standard text messaging rates apply).

Remember…

Never bet against the UNDERDOG!!!
