DJ Underdog
What’s going on everyone? It’s that time again for the monthly check-in, so I wanted to just give a heads up to what’s going on lately.
First off, I just wanted to say congrats once again to Tim Brock (DesignbyBrock.com), and his WIFE Jessie. I had the honor of djing the big day, and it was a blast. Hopefully you guys will renew your vows real soon just so I can play for that crowd again! If you need a website, computer work, or someone to get you Lil Jon cups bedazzled for your big day, then these guys are the people to see. As well, Tim, make sure your brother knows how much his family loves him.
Some big events to look forward to in the near future are coming up pretty fast. First up, my cousin Tony is having a HUGE tailgate party for the home opener of the Bucs. Normally the Bucs don’t give us much to cheer about late in the season, so everyone really has a good time during our only time near the top of the standings all year. If you happen to be at the game or in the area, call my cell and stop by to say hello. I believe that Finn McCool’s is the official after party, so feel free to stop after the game.
Speaking of Finn McCool’s, wedding season is starting so my Saturday nights at Finn’s will be few and far between for a while. Once May hits, look for me on Thursdays, and Tony (aka DJ Crush) on Saturdays. One of the Saturdays I will be there is definitely one to stop in for. It looks pretty official that on April 18th we will be having a MySpace website launch as well as the first of many CR$H-DJUD nights. Tony and I will both be playing at the same time, and the theme for this one will be the OLD SCHOOL vs. NEW SCHOOL. It should be a lot of fun so stop by, and add your favorite bar in the South Side to your MySpace friends. Hope to see you there.
Finally, I wanted to briefly mention something to anyone who may read this. A few weeks ago I dj’d a benefit called the Race for Grace. Grace Ekis was diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer, and sadly passed away on Valentine’s Day of 2008 at age 5. Grace’s family and friends developed this benefit because sadly, there is very little funding to help those who are diagnosed. The Race for Grace occurs annually, but if you have a moment, check out ReflectionsofGrace.org. I know times are tough for everyone, but every little bit helps and if you are able to help in anyway I know it is greatly appreciated.
Thank you all again for the kind words, referrals, and help along the way. Take care and keep in touch.
NEVER BET AGAINST THE UNDERDOG!!!
